Draymond Green’s travel to Mexico
Recently, NBA player Draymond Green decided to take his talents to Mexico in order to train during the offseason. This is not the first time that Green has gone overseas to work on his game, as he has also trained in Greece and China in the past.
Green is not the only NBA player to travel abroad for training, as many players have been doing so in recent years. Such travel can be beneficial for a number of reasons, including helping players to improve their skills and learn new techniques.
So far, Green’s offseason training appears to be paying off, as he has looked sharp in recent workouts. It remains to be seen how this will translate to the upcoming NBA season, but it is clear that Green is putting in the work needed to compete at the highest level.
Draymond Green’s training in Mexico
Draymond Green of the Golden State Warriors took his training to new heights, traveling to Mexico to work on his game.
The three-time NBA All-Star posted a photo on Instagram of him working out in the high altitude of Mexico City.
“8250ft above sea level. They don’t call it the mecca of basketball for nothing,” he captioned the photo.
Green has been hard at work this offseason, as he looks to help the Warriors bounce back from a disappointing end to last season.
Draymond Green’s preparation for the upcoming season
Before the start of every basketball season, Draymond Green goes to Mexico to train. It’s become a tradition for him, one that helps him get in top physical shape and also clears his mind so he can come back fresh for the new season.
This year, Green spent 10 days in Mexico training with Kobe Bryant’s former strength and conditioning coach, Tim Grover. He also worked with shooting coach interest Adam Filippi. Green has been working with Filippi for the past few years, and he credits him with helping him become a better shooter.
Green is entering his seventh season in the NBA and is coming off of a year in which he won his second championship with the Golden State Warriors. He is also fresh off of signing a new contract worth $100 million.

He was drafted 35th overall in the second round of the 2012 NBA draft by the Warriors. He played college basketball for Michigan State, where he earned All-American honors.
Green is known for his versatility and tenacious defense, as well as his ability to make plays on both ends of the floor. He has been praised by Warriors head coach Steve Kerr for his “unbelievable sense of timing”, as well as former head coach Mark Jackson for being a “Swiss Army knife”.
Green averaged 11.7 points, 8.6 rebounds, 3.7 assists, 1.6 steals, and 1.3 blocks per game during his rookie season with the Warriors. He helped lead the team to their first playoff appearance since 2006 and was named to the NBA All-Rookie Second Team.

“NBA players have done this for years now, going over to Europe or even China and other places to play during the summertime and I think it’s good for them,” said Stoudemire. “I think it helps them out a lot because they can get away from their offseason burdens and really just focus on basketball.”
