US Green Card Holders Can Now Travel to Australia

The Australian Department of Home Affairs has announced that US green card holders will now be able to travel to Australia.

This is a big change from the previous policy, which did not allow US Green Card holders to travel to Australia.

The new policy will come into effect from 1 July 2018.

So if you are a US Green Card holder, you can now start planning your trip to Australia!

How to Apply for an Australian Visa

If you are a green card holder, you no longer need to apply for a visa to enter Australia. You will be able to enter Australia with your green Card and a valid passport. However, there are still some requirements that you will need to meet in order to be allowed into the country.

Green card holders who wish to travel to Australia must have a valid passport. You will also need to obtain an Electronic Travel Authority (ETA) before you travel. The ETA is available through the Australian Department of Immigration and Border Protection website.

Once you have obtained an ETA, you will be able to travel to Australia for business or pleasure. You will be allowed to stay in Australia for up to three months at a time. If you wish to stay for longer than three months, you will need to apply for a different type of visa.

There are a number of different types of visas that you can apply for if you want to live in Australia permanently. The type of visa that you can apply for depends on your circumstances. For example, there are visas available for skilled workers, students, and family members of Australian citizens or permanent residents.

If you are interested in applying for an Australian visa, you should visit the Department of Immigration and Border Protection website. You can also contact the Australian embassy or consulate nearest to you for more information.

Eligibility Requirements for an Australian Visa

To be eligible for an Australian visa, you must:

-Be a US Green Card holder
-Have a passport that is valid for at least 6 months from the date of your intended arrival in Australia
-Have a return ticket to the US, or sufficient funds to purchase one
-Be of good health and have no criminal history
-Meet the character requirements for migration to Australia

If you meet all of the above requirements, you can apply for an Australian visa online.

What Documents Do You Need to Apply for an Australian Visa?

If you are a permanent resident or citizen of the United States, you may be eligible to apply for an Australian visa. There are a number of different visas available, depending on your purpose for travel.

To apply for a visa, you will need to submit a completed application form, as well as supporting documentation. The specific documents required will vary depending on the type of visa you are applying for, but may include proof of identity, evidence of financial support, and documentation of your travel plans.

It is important to note that while a US green card holder may be eligible to apply for an Australian visa, this does not guarantee that the visa will be issued. Each application is evaluated on a case-by-case basis, and approval is not guaranteed.

How Much Does an Australian Visa Cost?

As of October 1st, 2019, US green card holders are now eligible to apply for an Australian visa. The cost of the visa depends on a number of factors, including the length of stay and the type of visa required. For most US green card holders, the cost of an Australian visa will be $550.

How Long Does an Australian Visa Take to Process?

Applying for an Australian visa can be a long and drawn-out process, so it’s important to be prepared before you start. The first thing you need to do is make sure that you are eligible to apply for a visa. To do this, you will need to meet the basic requirements, which include having a passport that is valid for at least six months from the date of your travel, having a return ticket, and being able to show that you have enough money to support yourself during your stay.

Once you have gathered all of the necessary documentation, you will need to submit your application online. Once your application has been submitted, you will need to wait for a decision from the Australian government. The processing time for visa applications can vary depending on a number of factors, but it is generally taking at least two weeks for a decision to be made.

If your application is successful, you will be issued with an electronic visa that will allow you to travel to Australia. You should note that this visa does not entitle you to work in Australia, and it is only valid for travel purposes. If you want to stay in Australia for longer than three months, you will need to apply for a different type of visa.

What Happens After You Apply for an Australian Visa?

After you apply for an Australian visa, you will be notified of the status of your application by email. If your application is approved, you will be issued a visa that will allow you to travel to Australia.

What Are the Conditions of an Australian Visa?

If you are a US Green Card holder, you will be able to travel to Australia for business or tourism purposes without having to obtain a separate Australian visa. You will, however, need to meet the following conditions:

-You must have a valid Green Card at the time of travel
-You must have a passport that is valid for at least 6 months from the date of your planned arrival in Australia
-You must have enough money to support yourself during your stay in Australia
-You must have made all arrangements for your return travel home
-You must not have any criminal convictions

Can You Extend Your Stay in Australia on a Visa?

U.S. citizens can now travel to Australia for business or pleasure for up to 90 days without applying for a visa. The Electronic Travel Authority (ETA) allows business travelers to make short business trips of up to three months, attend business meetings, conferences, or do short-term work. Tourists can holiday in Australia for up to three months. If you want to stay longer, you will need to apply for a different type of visa before your trip.

You can apply for an ETA online or through a travel agent. The ETA is linked to your passport and is valid for 12 months or until your passport expires, whichever comes first. You can have multiple ETAs, but each one must be used within the validity period.

If you want to extend your stay in Australia beyond three months, you will need to apply for a different type of visa before your trip. You can apply for a tourist visa (subclass 600) online or through a travel agent prior to your arrival in Australia. This visa allows you to stay in Australia for up to three months. For stays longer than that, you will need to apply for a different type of visa before your trip.

The subclass 600 tourist visa is valid for 12 months from the date it is granted, and allows multiple entry into Australia during that time frame. The tourist visa does not allow work of any kind; however, you may be able to study or train on this visa for up to four weeks as long as it does not interfere with your travel plans. If you want to study or train for longer than four weeks, you will need to apply for a student visa before your trip.

What Happens if Your Australian Visa is Refused?

If you are a US green card holder, you may be eligible to travel to Australia without a visa. However, if your Australian visa is refused, there are a few things you can do.

First, you can appeal the decision. Second, you can reapply for a visa. And third, you can try to obtain a waiver of the visa refusal. Each option has its own set of requirements and procedures, so it’s important to consult with an immigration lawyer before taking any action.

Appealing a visa refusal can be a complex process, and it’s important to have strong grounds for your appeal. If you decide to reapply for a visa, you will need to address the reasons why your application was refused in the first place. And if you are seeking a waiver of the visa refusal, you will need to show that there are extenuating circumstances that warrant such a waiver.

No matter which option you choose, it’s important to act quickly and consult with an experienced immigration lawyer who can help you navigate the complex process and give you the best chance of success.
