Introduction
There are many reasons why you might want to travel from the UK. Maybe you’re eager to explore new cultures, boost your career prospects or simply take a break from the British weather!
Whatever your reason for wanting to travel, the good news is that there are plenty of countries you can visit without having to apply for a visa in advance. In fact, British citizens can travel to 173 different destinations without a visa, according to figures from the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO).
So, if you’re looking for some inspiration for your next trip, check out our list of countries you can travel to from the UK without a visa.
The Green List
The list of countries you can travel to without having to quarantine on your return has been released – and it looks pretty good for summer getaways.
So far, 12 countries have made the cut and been placed on the so-called ‘green list’, which was compiled by the government’s global travel taskforce.
The list includes Portugal, Gibraltar, Israel, Australia, New Zealand, Brunei, Iceland, Singapore and South Korea.
It means that from May 17th, Britons will be able to jet off to these destinations without having to self-isolate on their return.
However, holidaymakers have been warned that they may need to take a Covid test before and after their trip, as well as during it in some instances.
They have also been told to check the entry requirements of their chosen destination before travelling.
UK to Europe
As the UK begins to open up again after lockdown, many of us are looking forward to getting back to exploring. Although international travel is still some way off for most of us, it is possible to travel to some countries from the UK now. Here is a list of countries in Europe that you can travel to from the UK, as well as the restrictions that are in place.

The United States, Canada and Mexico are all countries that you can travel to from the UK without the need for a visa. You will however need to ensure that you have a valid passport and meet the entry requirements for each country.
The United States:
-You must have a valid passport
-You must have a return or onward ticket
-You must be able to demonstrate that you have enough money to support yourself during your stay
-You must be staying for 90 days or less
-You must not have any criminal convictions
Canada:
-You must have a valid passport

The Caribbean is a region consisting of the Caribbean Sea, its islands and the surrounding coasts. The region is southeast of the Gulf of Mexico and north of South America. The majority of the area lies on the Caribbean Plate.

Culturally, the Buyufe (colloquial Creole: kweyol or kreyol) peoples include the mainland Guianas (Guyana, Suriname, French Guiana), as well as Trinidad & Tobago, Belize, Jamaica and Haiti — indeed all countries which have significant African heritage populations although sometimes lacking in full Buyufe cultural expression.
